It depends if you are "at sea" or docked.

If you are "at sea" you eat, lay by pool, join in on gameshows , all activities are mostly by the pool.

But the # 1 activity to do on a cruise is snorkel when you get to an Island.

(eating, and shopping tie w/ this )

Bon Voyage!!!

My ex-husband used to spend most of his time drinking while on a cruise. I just enjoy spending the day by the pool and a nice sit down meal in the evening.

Eat and go to the pool are generally the biggest things people do on cruises. And with various activities that cruise lines have in the pool or by it it leaves no doubt that the pool is very popular since IT'S ALMOST ALWAYS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND A FRICKIN' CHAIR!! Sorry, I just had to say that. But food is also a big thing on cruise lines since you don't want to serve the same exact foods every single day.

Most people book tours off the ship and do things like go to great beaches, go biking, go harse back riding, go jet skiing or parasailing, go snorkeling and/or scuba diving, go shopping, go exploring whatever attraction is on the island visited. Most cruises move from island to island overnight so you eat, go to shows, gamble, go to the disco/club at night and then do tour activity during the day. If you have a day "at sea" meaning no island stop, you get a chair on the sun deck and suck up the rays and drinks, pass out, jump in the pool and cool off, then do it again.
