If you are flexible with dates, destination, line, etc. you will be able to find the best deals.



A travel agent, 9 out of 10 times will be able to get you a better rate than you can get on your own, either with the cruise lines or online discounters. They have group rates and get specials daily so that you can save money. To get the most savings you will want to be flexible, the more flexible the better.



Just be very careful with the "online discounters" like Expedia, there can be a lot of problems with these sites, especially for cruises.



Carnival is going to be the least expensive line, Royal Caribbean is one step up.

I have been on 8 cruises, and I have always went through a travel agent because of being able to get all the info I need.



They will get better deals at certain times..



I have booked my own before,,but the prices were the same.

I was able to get a better deal than a travel agent by calling Carnival directly. make sure you ask about promotions and free upgrades. Called two different travel agents whos prices were 780 and 793. Carnival got me a better room for 633.
